The KC Series is a progressive small-batch collection exploring distinct expressions of cool-climate Chardonnay while maintaining stylistic clarity. It gives us the flexibility to refine, evolve and push detail in the cellar, ensuring that each vintage fully realises the potential of the vineyard.
The wines are blended to their individual style whilst embracing the opportunities and challenges that each year brings.
KC1
Elegance and minerality
They have a strong citrus backbone (fresh lemon) with struck match and excellent concentration, body and a very long length. These wines are only achievable in years that give us a depth of fruit concentration achieved over a long ripening period.
These are the barrels exuding powerful notes of intense citrus (Amalfi lemon and lemon curd) with weight and texture. KC2 consistently reflects Whitewolfe’s ability to achieve powerful and complex wine.
Limited to years where fruit and freshness are in equal balance
This wine is fresh and fruit-driven, showing notes of stone fruit and red apple. More approachable in style, made only in years where fruit and freshness are in equal balance.
These barrels will have flinty minerality, citrus and a toasted note
This is a layered and complex Chardonnay that is able to take a proportion of new oak. This wine exudes balance and length that are typically found in Whitewolfe’s best parcels.
